"I tell you and you forget. I show you and you remember. I involve you and you understand."
-Eric Butterworth
This is a quote that my head/neck anatomy professor gave us in our syllabus. This quote really connects with me. I am such a "hands on" learner! So I thought I would share it with you all! Today in lab we learned how to use a blue boa, which is a type of suctioning device. I found out that my bosses wife was the first person that the inventor sold to, which is so cool! We hooked up our typodonts to a mount so we could work on them in the dental chair. We worked on or suctioning and water spraying techniques. It's nice to learn tips and preferences of classmates and instructors. I passed off my first PE today, and got a 4/4! woot woot! I learned so much information today, I think my head is going to explode! It's nice to know that I am not the only one that feels like this though, it is a common feeling among us first years. I dropped one of my typodonts in the locker room today and all the teeth went flying all over!! Luckily, I found all of the teeth. My goal this weekend is to get all my stuff organized!! I feel like it is all over the place... Wish me luck!!
Good Luck!!! You can do it!
